In the Beginning

The business was created by Paul Dixon in 1993. Paul was previously a Director of a National firm of estate agents. He was responsible for developing the business through management training and taking the company culture on a journey of change. "I was awarded the Fellowship of the Chartered Management Institute for sorting that one out", he once said.

He was appointed as President of the Auctioneers & Surveyors, Surrey, in 1989. Articles about his views of the industry have been published in the press and he has appeared at various media events.

In a "previous life" he was a student at London's Mountview Theatre School. Subsequently, he went on to appear in about 100 film and television productions. He worked alongside some of the all time greats such as Peter Sellers, Roger Moore, Joan Collins, Paul and Linda McCartney. Television productions included "The Professionals" with Martin Shaw, which now has a cult following.

Passionate about property, Paul now spends the majority of his time working on behalf of high net worth individuals to find and negotiate the purchase of outstanding properties. Many such properties are acquired before they reach the open market.

Paul is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, an Associate of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Fellow of both the National Association of Estate Agents and Valuers and Auctioneers. He takes an active involvement in Society and in 1997 was appointed by Her Majesty's Government as a Magistrate.

He believes always in the next chapter, "but that's another story..."

Estates of the Realm - Origins

The term 'Estates of the Realm' is first found in the Middle ages and referred to a group in society, usually made up of nobility, clergy and the people. The purpose of this political or government order, was to defend the Realm against foreign aggression and national disorder. The group also attended to the Realm's spiritual needs. In more recent history, the term has also referred to someone's interest in property, or a country estate in the kingdom, usually England.
